What better way to eat your worries away and meet new people while bonding over your shared love for food than at a food festival? Food festivals allow you to get outdoors, enjoy the weather, and relax while indulging in as many different cuisines as you’d like. Food fests are a great way to learn about an area because you not only get a taste of their local food, but you can also learn about the culture of the city as well. Yummy delicacies, mixed drinks, great music, and activities are what you’ll find when checking out the most popular food festivals. When thinking about the best festivals, the United States comes to mind first. Wherever you are in the U.S., you can best believe that there isn’t a unique food festival or event too far away. Here is a list of some of the best ones.

Food festivals are great places to find yummy eats

New York City Wine and Food Festival

The NYC Wine and Food Festival is held each year in October and is known as THE food event of the year in New York. The festival features over 80 different events, from wine tastings and seminars to late night parties and upscale dinners with celebrity chefs. The fest usually features over 500 famous chefs that come from all over the world, such as Rachel Ray, Marcus Samuelsson, and Antoni Porowski. The festival is presented by Capital One and 100% of the net proceeds go towards charities fighting to end hunger. So, not only can you hit up this festival to enjoy tasty eats and drinks, but you can feel good about doing so because you’re contributing to a good cause.

Kentucky Bourbon Festival

Bourbon has been distilled in Kentucky for over two centuries, and what better way to celebrate than with a fun festival dedicated to the tasty drink? The Kentucky Bourbon Festival is held each year in September in Bardstown, Kentucky, offering great tastings, exquisite food, and live music performances. There’s even a huge party that takes place with popular music, dancing, tons of food stations, and more. There’s also barrel-making demonstrations, gift shops set up, and bourbon chocolate tastings. The five-day event usually welcomes over 50,000 guests from all over the world.

Final Thoughts

If you’re a foodie like myself, any one of these festivals are worth hitting up. If you’re like me, you’ll choose a festival that takes place in a city where there are plenty of attractions. Las Vegas is known for the Vegas Strip, city lights, delicious buffets, and packed out casinos, so of course, the Las Vegas Food and Wine Festival is first on my list. After eating to your heart’s content at the fest, you could stop in and try your luck at one of their famous casinos. However, if you want to play without ever leaving your room, you can always do so from your laptop or smartphone on skyvegas. You can’t go wrong when in Vegas for their fest because you get the best food, wine, and that casino lifestyle. Food fests are a ton of fun especially if you’re willing to travel for it. I’m sure if you try out at least one on this list, you won’t be disappointed.
